Audemars Piguet Releases Three New Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs Three vibrant new models to welcome the summer.
The history of the Royal Oak Offshore dates back to 1972, when Audemars Piguet launched the first Royal Oak, a timepiece designed by Gerald Genta that pioneered the luxury sports watch. When Audemars Piguet commissioned designer Emmanuel Gueit to create a larger, bolder watch for a younger generation, the result was a 42mm case with rubber chronograph pushers, its distinctive design almost entirely rejected by management. Originally released as an anniversary limited edition in 1993, this watch quickly became a collector's item, and the Offshore quickly became one of the most popular models in the collection.
Now, Audemars Piguet is proud to introduce three new, colorful Royal Oak Offshore chronographs, continuing this illustrious tradition. The Royal Oak Offshore watches feature a robust 42mm case diameter, crafted from various metals depending on the model, and equipped with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a rubber screw-down crown and rubber pushers. Water-resistant to 100 meters, they embody their nautical theme. Each timepiece features Audemars Piguet's signature "Méga Tapisserie" oversized dial, accented with vibrant colors on the tachymeter scale and chronograph subdials at 9 and 12 o'clock.
Each watch comes with a matching textured calfskin strap and houses the Audemars Piguet Caliber 4404 flyback chronograph movement, clearly visible through the sapphire crystal case back. Functions include flyback chronograph, hours, minutes, small seconds, and date display. Together, these three watches showcase the sporty character of the Royal Oak Offshore, infused with a summery feel.
