Preparing for the GRE was more stressful than I expected, especially when I was trying to balance study time with work and other responsibilities. I eventually realized that depending on shortcuts would not really solve the bigger problem. Instead, I started breaking my preparation into smaller goals. I practiced vocabulary every morning, worked through quantitative questions in the evening, and took a full practice test each weekend. What helped me most was reviewing my mistakes instead of simply counting my correct answers. I also learned to manage my time because I used to spend too long on difficult questions. My practice scores gradually became more consistent, and I felt much calmer when test day arrived. Looking back, having a realistic schedule and sticking with it made my GRE preparation far more manageable and gave me confidence in my own progress.
